Hello everyone! Long time no see!
We hope Railroad Ink has brought you as much joy as it has brought us in creating it!
We are here with news that we think you might be interested in: we have just announced Railroad Tiles, a tile-laying sequel to Railroad Ink! It is a quick-playing tile placement game where you pick tiles and place routes to build an interconnected infrastructure.
Railroad Tiles will be launching here on Kickstarter in Spring 2024. Follow the project to be notified when we go live!
The game is played over 8 rounds. You start each round by drafting your tiles from the sets available in the common pool; plan your building strategy and pick wisely. Then, you place your routes in front of you trying to make as many connections as possible; be careful not to lock yourself in with too constraining choices.
Each round you can also place cars, trains, or travelers to populate the tiny little landscape you’re creating... as long as you have free space on your tiles! The available actions change from round to round, so you need to prepare in advance! The more pieces of the same kind each new placement connects to, the more points you get!
Bonus points can also be earned at the end of the game for placing tiles in a large rectangle without gaps, and for creating sets of 3 adjacent city tiles.

Hello backers,
We have an important update for all our Digital fans: The Desert and Forest expansions are finally available for Railroad Ink: Challenge!
All the backers who added the Founders Edition add-on to their pledge will of course receive these DLCs for free, You’ll find the redeemable Steam codes in your Pledge Manager page, by clicking on the “Get Your Digital Downloads” page. Here's a screenshot for clarity:
If you added the Founder Edition to your pledge during the campaign and have any trouble in recovering your Steam codes, just reach out to [email protected] as usual.
If you aren’t a Founders Edition backer don’t worry, the expansions are available on digital stores as of today! Plus, a massive update of the game was just rolled out:

In other news, we just threw ourselves into another adventure here on Kickstarter: we recently launched One More Quest: a dexterity-based, comedy role-playing game of dungeon-crawling adventures, set in the crazy Dungeon Fighter fantasy universe.
A dexterity-based tabletop roleplaying game? Yes you read that right! In this game, the success or failure of your actions is determined by throwing dice at a Target board, trying to get as close to the center as possible. To make things even more interesting, different situations will require you to throw your die in different whimsical ways, emulating the challenge that your character is trying to overcome. Your character is jumping over a ravine? You'll have to throw your die while jumping in real life!
The game was founded in minutes by over 650 backers (and counting!), you might still have a shot to get the special Early Bird discounted pledges so make sure to check out the campaign!

Dear backers,
Our digital team pressed the big red button yesterday and Railroad Ink Challenge is officially online! You can check it out on Steam, App Store and Google Play right now. Just as a quick reminder, the Digital edition was not included in any pledge level, it was a separate add-on available to be purchased on the Pledge Manager.
For all our Founder backers, sorry about the wait: we had to wait for Steam to launch the game before distributing the codes, but we didn’t account for the small Backerkit delay in email sending! Regardless, any backer who purchased the Founder Edition add-on should have received the email containing the Steam code by now. If you didn’t receive the email, you can still retrieve it on your survey going on Backerkit and clicking on the “Get Your Digital Downloads” button:

We are currently working on the credits list too: every Founder will have the name used on the Pledge Manager present in the credits once the next update goes up. If you have special indications for your name/surname different from the one already present in the Pledge Manager, please fill out this survey indicating the changes, it’ll be open until JUNE 25.

Now that’s a hot game...
We hoped to have the Desert and Forest DLC available at launch day (hence the original message on the campaign page) but we had to delay them, unfortunately. Our Digital Team is working on both DLC at the moment, and we hope we’ll be able to publish them on every platform in the next few months. And as we promised during the campaign, all the Founders Edition backers will receive these two DLCs for free, so stay tuned! You’ll receive your Steam DLC codes through Backerkit, same as it was for the base game.
Bugs, Feedback etc
If you’re encountering any bugs playing the game, please try these options:
Log out from your HG account in the app itself and log back in
delete and reinstall the game
reboot your device
update your app to the latest version (if available)
If you still encounter those pesky bugs, please feel free to write on our official Discord server or directly to our dedicated digital customer care service at [email protected], indicating which device (pc/phone/tablet model) and which OS version you are using.

Dear backers,
We finally can report that the fulfilment is 100% complete! Well, let's say 99,9% complete, as we are working to ship out the last replacement pieces here and there at the moment.
If you still haven't received your pledge, reach out to the assigned courier or your country’s post service to see if they have more information about your package. If they cannot give you more information, send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll reach out to the Hub. Rest assured, we’ll do our best to get you your package.
If you received your package and something is wrong (i.e. missing items, damaged items etc), please send us an email at [email protected]. Make sure to include your full name, address, phone number, and some pictures of the problem. We’ll see what we can do and ship out the replacements if needed as soon as possible.
While our job is coming to an end here, your adventure with Railroad Ink Challenge just started, so make sure to let people know you’re among our amazing backers! Railroad Ink Digital is coming!
The digital version of your favourite "roll and write" (c’mon, top three tier at least?) is coming soon! The game will launch on June 17 on Steam, IOS and Android.

The Dice Trays
We acknowledge that some of you aren’t happy with the dice trays we realized for this project. We searched for multiple possible solutions, and we believe that the best solution we can offer is a 50% refund on the tray cost to those backers who will require it. To ask for your refund, please refer to this survey.
The correct amount will be refunded either on the credit card tied to your Kickstarter account or the one you used on Backerkit. If you paid with Paypal, we’ll send you a refund payment on the Paypal address tied to your Pledge Manager.

The Railroad Ink campaign was an incredible experience for an independent and relatively small italian company like us. Seeing our games travel around the world and being appreciated is something we’ll never stop to be grateful for.

Fulfillment and Shipment FAQ

Dear backers,
You are finally starting to receive your rewards, and we’ve seen some common questions asked in the comment section. To help out readability and the sharing of information, we decided to do a small FAQ update on the fulfilment process and in general on the items.
I’m a backer from [insert country] and didn’t receive the game yet!
There’s no way around it, fulfilment is a long process, even in normal circumstances and with a lower number of backers. It involves a lot of items being sorted, packed, checked and double checked before the package can even start to be shipped out. Our hubs are working hard to get you all your rewards, but patience is needed in this phase. You’ll get a tracking notification as soon as the hub is ready to ship out your package.

This just means that your package is still in preparation and it hasn’t been shipped yet. You’ll get a tracking notification as soon as the hub is ready to ship it out. We hope it’ll be soon enough!
...but that backer from [my same country] said they already received the game!
It takes several days to ship out packages, even more for countries with many backers. Unfortunately there is no magical "Ship everything!" button that can instantly fling all the boxes out of the warehouse at the same time… Even if our hubs constantly assure us they’re working on it!
My tracking notification says it is delivered but it’s not!
First of all, don’t panic. Couriers are doing their best, considering the worldwide situation, but the whole package delivering thing is still more complicated than usual these days. Wait a few days, and in the meantime reach out to your country’s Post Service to see if they have more information about your package. If they cannot give you more information, send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll reach out to the Hub. Rest assured, we’ll do our best to get you your package.
The Teleport die is missing!
The Teleport die actually got promoted and renamed! It’s now part of the Eldritch Expansion pack, which was included in each pledge level as a Stretch Goal, and it is called “Portal expansion”.

How does everything fit in the Collector Box? I can’t fit my copies of Blazing Red and Deep Blue in it!
From our testing at the office (apart from the pre-production copies testing we tried again yesterday, just to be extra sure) it shouldn’t be an issue at all. The boxes are just meant to go inside in a certain way:
We designed the Collector box specifically to save up the most amount of space (as requested during the campaign) while accommodating the entire Railroad Collection.
But feel free to store your favourite dice in it if you want!
So, what about those dice trays?
As we said in a previous update, we are aware that some backers were disappointed by the dice trays, especially regarding their size. While we had concrete reasons to choose those sizing and specifics during the design and production phase (mainly, the desire expressed by many to make them fit inside the game box), your satisfaction is paramount to us. We are currently looking into several possible solutions to compensate all the backers who were disappointed by the dice trays and will consider it appropriate to ask for it. Please be patient while we work on it behind the scenes, you’ll get more information on this matter in future updates.
I got my game but something is damaged / missing / mispacked!
